Texas ReConstruction actively supports various charities in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Provided below is information about some of the organizations we support and links to more information about them. There are many ways to get involved.
The Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is a world leader in the treatment of pediatric orthopedic conditions. We strive to improve the care of children worldwide through innovative research and teaching programs, training physicians from around the world.
TSRHC treats children with orthopedic conditions, such as scoliosis, clubfoot, hand disorders, hip disorders and limb length differences, as well as sports injuries, and certain related neurological disorders and
learning disorders, such as dyslexia.
The mission of Adventures Unbound is to offer supervised travel opportunities for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities to increase independence and improve quality of life while providing respite for families and caregivers.
Parents, guardians and caregivers are able to send travelers with disabilities on a safe, fun & exciting trip where they’re loved ones will receive care and supervision from trained caregivers, while enjoying some respite at the same time. We provide a chance for adults with disabilities to see new places and experience new things in a safe manner.
The Down Syndrome Partnership
The Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas supports individuals with Down syndrome, their families and caregivers in achieving the universally desired goals of self-fulfillment, pride in one’s achievements, inclusion in the community and reaching one’s fullest potential through social and educational activities.
DSPNT’s purpose is to support people with Down syndrome, their families, and communities, in reaching their full potential. The vision of the DSPNT is an inclusive North Texas community that affords equal rights and opportunities for all people with Down syndrome.
The Optimist Club
Optimist International is a worldwide volunteer organization made up of more than 2,500 local Clubs whose Members work each day to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, in their communities, and in themselves.
By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in youth, our communities and ourselves.
The Parenting Center
The Parenting Center's mission is "to provide family members and professionals with the tools, resources and services to build successful families.
The Parenting Center became a partner agency of the United Way of Metropolitan Tarrant County. Several other social service agencies have collaborated with us on projects that benefit the community and use resources in an efficient manner.
