Texas ReConstruction is actively working and serving in Tarrant and Dallas Counties. We feel that it is so important to give back to the communities. There are many opportunities for service all around us. TRC is proud to have a partnership with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas. Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas and Texas Reconstruction work to do home repairs and renovation for the elderly, veterans and their families, disabled and disadvantaged. They find those in need, procure the materials needed for the repairs and turn the operations over to us. It works great and with them, we have been able to do so much good for the community. More recently, we completed a full bathroom remodel with updated A.D.A. appointments and more accessibility for a wheelchair. The recipient of the remodel was a veteran of world war two named Arthur Pipken and his wife Dolita.
The project was such a wonderful experience for Texas Reconstruction our employees. Arthur and Dolita were so excited about the upgrades. Our latest project was to participate in Operation Freedom; an ambitious project aimed at repairing 60 homes in 60 days. At Texas ReConstruction we were able to coordinate repairs on two homes in Fort Worth. Working in partnership with Charter Spectrum, we were able to do a full day of repairs and upgrades for Augustine Warren and George Boyd. Augustine in a widow of a World War II veteran and George Boyd, a veteran of the Air Force for 20 years. We were able to spend the day fixing soffits, cleaning debris from yards, painting, repairing fences, and updating bathrooms. Both houses were very appreciative for the work and TRC and Charter were able to see how grateful the recipients of work were.
There is so much to be done all around us. In addition to our two homes in Fort Worth, there were 8 other houses being worked on across the D/FW metroplex. Rebuilding Together was partnered with many different organization which all want to get involved and do good in the community for those in need. It makes for an amazing coalition of companies.
